Would give a zero if I could. You will regret moving in here. Completely not worth it, just useless renovations that no one needs instead of fixing real issues. Nonstop construction (NON STOP CONSTRUCTION), no janitor, loud rude employees, ants, there's always something out of order, thin walls/bad sound isolation, water keeps getting shut down with either no notice or just the night before... honestly atrocious service. To the owners/managers of this building fyi this is my first time ever writing such a review. I really don't understand why would anyone want to move here...... save your time, money and sanity by not considering this place.

This building is sold the beginning of last year or the end of 2021; the new management company is not good at all In tenants service; they are doing lots of renovations in the common areas while for problems like walls peeling from water leaking they left it there for months; one guy said he had a big hole in his bathroom for 7 months! One girl said also for a few months the management company did not repair her walls; another girl was crying because lots of her stuffs got dirty from the hole that they did not repair for 2 months. Theres no janitor even in the building if you ask, they s always tell that they cannot find one or they are looking for one. Several times when theres immergency in the building in the evening, we cannot find anyone for help since theres no janitor. Also several times stopping hot water without advanced notice; the lady who is in charge of rent Tania Allard is very impolite even rude! If you dont want to have the same experience there, give a second thought before making your decision .

  • Terrible place. The walls are thin, the water proof is awful. We spilled some water on the floor and the neighbour came because it was already leaking. We cannot get rid of ants in our apartment. Super noisy, constant sounds of traffic outside. The renovation work starts so early and you can't sleep because of the loud noise. They cut off the water constantly and do not warn about it. I do not recommend at all.

Reno-evictions without compensation! For the past year, the living conditions at 5311 Sherbrooke Street West have been appalling. -Construction workers shouting across hallways in foreign languages every morning at 7am sharp. -Power-tool noises from 6:30am until well passed the legal hours. -Harassing super-intendants -Workers smoking/having lunch within two feet of main entrance door. -During the pandemic, none of the workers wore masks. -Large trucks blocking 80% of the main entrance during the day (not sure this complies with the fire safety code) -Dysfunctional amenities (no hot water for a while, no intercom for several weeks, laundry-card charging station out of order for nearly a month, etc.) -The garbage/recycling area wasnt emptied for a month. -Emergency staircases blocked by large empty boxes. Their strategy seems to work: Many tenants have opted to move out to escape the predicament of living on a construction site for years to come. Ethical management companies give notice and offer compensationoften up to three months of rent. Also, a one-bedroom that was $855 is being advertised for $1475... A previous super-intendant informed me that these reno-evictions would last several years: appartments, hallways, lobby, laundry-room, structure, balconies, elevators, etc. If your hearing works normally and your life requires a minimum of peace and quiet, do not rent at 5311 Sherbrooke WestIt is a NIGHTMARE!
