Rockhill Apartments

Update: Every time I'm angry enough to visit the office, I leave there thinking how nice the coordinators are, not to mention busy. I found out today that each coordinator is responsible for two buildings. I've lived in apartments my entire life - smaller than the building I'm in now - and the norm was one person to one building. Two buildings per coordinator is an impossible amount of responsibility at the best of times - and, given the chronic construction, dirt, noise and problems associated to old buildings - this is not the best of times. Minto needs to hire more staff or risk chronic staff turnover and visits to TAL. Oct. 2 Cockroaches, floods, no working pool and endless major construction(concrete drilling) from 7am, 5 days/week. Promised completion was 4 months. It's been 6 months. Worse yet, the property manager casually mentioned this will be a regular occurrence for the next six years. Ive written several emails with these questions: 1) When will construction be over 2) What kind of disruption can we expect over the next six years 3) Will our windows be cleaned once the present construction is completed 4) When will the pool be ready Efforts to communicate via emails and registered letters are ignored. No courtesy, integrity, professionalism or accountability from management. If you do end up here retain every email. Recap all conversations. Know your rights. Contact the Tribunal regularly. Theyre well-informed about The Rockhill and are sympathetic. Finally, exercise your rights. Once you've made your concerns public, as Ive done here and/or at Tribunal, Rockhill cant appear to take retaliatory action.

I've been living in this place for so many years now and can't see myself living somewhere else, and have referred so many people to rockhill. I just want to thank the whole Minto team for their outstanding work, all the hard work and renovations they putting into this place. And an extremely tremendous amount of thanks to the best Minto team member SYLVIA GUTTMAN I just love her, she's really doing an amazing hard job. Gives all the time and patience to listen to tenants needs and always answers emails back with positive feedback. She truly deserves all the best and I hope to see her as a Minto manager one day. So excited for the swimming pool that will be opening up very soon, and just one quick remark we would love to see some flowers planted around the garden area.

Hey, Minto! It's been 3 months! How about reaching out to the victims of the disastrous water damage at Rockhill apartments on February 3 and 4? Seems like the captain has abandoned ship! The silence is deafening. No communications at all on your part, no information, no offer of any kind of assistance, tenants have lost everything through no fault of their own, everyone is left to fend for himself, the building management seems to be washing its hands of the whole debacle. How long before we see some activity on fixing the extensive damages? Real people live here, you know? 20+ floors of corrupted water damage during the coldest weekend of the year, why? So you can save a few bucks on heating and properly isolating vacant apartments? And why so many vacant apartments, I wonder... What a terrible and inhumane business model!

This is a great place to live, ive been here for over 5 years now, immigrated from south america (Brazil) and for the first time I was able to bring my concerns in my own language to Carlos Salguero-Hernandez at the office, he speaks Spanish, Portuguese, English and apparently learning French if youre an immigrant from latin america and you need some help, make yourself a favor and go straight to him. The place is old yes, but they maintain it very well. Its true, they are doing a lot of construction, its something that you will have to deal with. The pool is supposed to be fully functional soon (May 2023) we hope that this time the issues were fixed correctly. Overall, amazing place, great location, close to downtown, Montreal university, restaurants, buses, metro and more.
