On October 9, 2018. We received letter from Danielle oiknine saids she was able to reduce capital gain to a smaller amount. (See attached image 1) But waitwe told her there was no capital gain, in fact there was a capital loss! Due to the horrible outcome of our tax audit results assisted by Oiknine, we told her we need to proceed with an opposition. On both Feb 04, 2019 and Feb 06, 2019. We went to her office spent hours with her and her assistant Julia Yu to explain them the basic concept of capital gain and AGAIN why the sale of our business did not generate capital gain, in hope that she could now be able explain to the revenue Quebec objection officer. Even though she already had all the evidence during the audit process. After the end of the meetings Dannielle oiknine and her assistant Julia Yu concluded that I was wrong and there was a capital gain. She even said to me you know you are going to pay something? ( see attached image 2 for meeting receipt ) I then fired her and decide to communicate to the objection officer myself. The objection officer understood what is captain gain and why the sale of our business was actually a capital loss. Simple! ( see attached image 3-5 for objection memoire) Why did I have to pay them hours of lawyer fees to explain them some basic concept? Arent you in school many years to become a lawyer? And what about my time you wasted? At the end we did have to sue revenue Quebec for other amounts accused and they decided to settle with us and we didnt owe them anything. It seems Oiknine & Associes only care about your money and I would highly recommend you to stay away from this place!
