I trusted 9 years of my education with this school. Until six months ago when i moved countries. I came to visit one week, and wanted to see my old peers and friends. Since we grew up together we have very close relationships with past classmates. Throughout my time at CIMF we were always told that we were a family and that we had to stick together no matter what. I now understand that is only the case when you pay them thousands of dollars a year. I showed them my old card and had to explain my situation, some of the staff members that had remembered me had let me in a few days prior. These staff members told me to get off their property, that i was no longer a student and hence no longer a member of their "community ", no longer a child that they brought up for almost 10 years, for more than half of her life. I was treated as an outsider, a stranger when that school had once felt like a home. It was a sense only encouraged and tolerated by certain staff members and present when they were payed to create a false sense of community. Are we really a family if you can drop me that quickly? No we are not. I am a mind of your making, i can criticise you as well as me. I put up with several horrible teachers who would only put us down to stay with my friends and peers, and you are telling me that you will follow me in court?! I understand that due to regulations you can not let me in. But to show such blatant lack of sympathy, of empathy, to have an ineptitude of tact with adolescents when you work in a high school is outrageous. I had an excellent education at this school, I especially had some incredible english and science teachers, I agree, but do not expect them to respect you. They motivate you by telling you that you will never achieve anything. Your goal is to prove them wrong, you are constantly underestimated. You come out of that school unfazed by others comments, you have tough skin after that. Even then consider what you are willing to put your child through to achieve that.

(Translated by Google) Magnificent life experiences, a solid French-style education with a touch of Quebec flavor. This college is like Montreal or a French version of New York: extremely cosmopolitan, totally open to the world. It is the antithesis of the "mono"-mentality. At CIMF, there is no one way to do it. There is no one way to think. There is only one way to solve a problem. All the cultures of the world are gathered there. I remember comrades from Angola, Italy, Greece, Armenia, Quebecers, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, etc. etc. This college is an ultra-concentrated culture broth. Everyone quickly feels very comfortable there and it becomes our second family. At CMF, it is this incredible diversity that becomes the norm. Great place to open up to the world. I forged bonds of friendship there that have marked me forever. The subjects learned were difficult, the demands on the students were high, but all the teachers were great, really great, almost like parents who pretend on the surface that they are just teachers, but deep down, we feel that they want us to surpass ourselves in our learning to achieve the best of ourselves.
