Reading some of the less than stellar comments here, I can only say that Dr. Margossian is an extremely nice and competent dentist. I have been her patient for 8 years & she is everything that I would want any medical professional to be: kind, competent, reassuring, professional, thorough and always respectful of my needs. Her entire team reflects this attitude: never sullen but always uplifting in attitude and willing to go the extra mile for their patients. Plus, they play really good music! I am grateful to have her as my dentist.

***avoid*** Horrible and extremely rude dentist. I had a terrible experience with her. She does not show any decency or respect to her clients. When discussing my concerns with her, she wasnt listening to me and gave suggestions that were way over my budget although i told her that I didnt have insurance. I visited her during the pandemic and she was not even wearing her mask properly and I had to remind her. I should have known better from her other low reviews and gone to someone else. I will report her for her rude remarks.

One of the worst experiences with a dentist. Everyone is so unprofessional and too much about the money. They fixed my cavity, which now looking back was probably a lie. They did the worst filling which fell not even a month after. They made me pay to redo it, without even doing it well that time. A year later, they called me to do the "annual cleaning" which was on point to have the cavities redo a second time. They gave me both appointments at the same time. I mentioned many times that the most important for me was the hole and if they wanted to add the cleaning at this point whatever since I was covered. I arrived and they told me : "let's start with the cleaning" and NEVER had the repair of the hole they caused in my mouth. Telling me "oupsie mistake bad communication we didn't know you wanted your hole repaired?????" even though I said it I don't know how many times on the phone when they called me almost forcing it on me to do the cleaning at the same time. Anyway, I decided to go see Dr. Demetrius Malotsis and wow. This person is professional, efficient, kind and his work is high quality. Exactly what you are looking for in a dentist. Please do that for yourself and don't go there. It is not worth the "reduction" for students. It is not worth your time wasted. It is more expensive at the end of the day, and the quality is lacking badly...

Oh man, where do I start? I decided to start coming to Dr. Margossian's clinic after having a horrible experience with my previous dentist. Turns out, I was setting myself up for a very similar experience. My main issue with Dr.Margossian's practice was her apparent lack of consideration for her patient's autonomy. One day we discovered a cavity on one of my molars which had previously had a root canal. Every visit, Dr.Margossian would rant about how I should be getting a cap on that tooth, despite the fact that I told her I could not afford it. Once I made it clear I would not be getting a cap, she started giving me stories about her own teeth, trying to get me to sympathize with her and agree with her that I should get the same surgeries done. As we were removing the cavity on my root canal tooth (the one I made clear I would rather remove than invest more money in) she mentioned mid-surgery that she would be putting a "post" in to help stabilize the tooth. Keep in mind that I had no idea what a post was, or how much it cost. She did not explain these things to me before continuing. It turns out, a post was not covered by my insurance (which she knew I was relying on) and the surgery ended up costing me several hundreds of dollars more than I was prepared to pay. Had I know this would be the case, I would have had the tooth removed, and I would have kept the saved money to put towards an implant. Based on my experiences in her care for the past year, Dr.Margossian has zero consideration for her patient's autonomy, and tries to pressure her clients into costly surgeries. On top of this, Dr.Margossian made a number of questionable remarks during my visits. One time when we were discussing Covid restrictions, she commented "thanks a lot Chinese people" as if to demonize an entire country for Canada's inability to control the spread of Covid-19. In a city that struggling against Asian Hate, I thought that this comment was very inappropriate and insensitive. I am incredibly disappointed in my experience here, as are a number of my friends who have had similar experiences. I will not be going back to this dentist, very exploitative. Edit: I forgot to mention, expect to deal with a chaotic schedule if you come to this dentist. One time I was waiting in the chair for 40 minutes before I was seen by the dentist. (I timed it, no exaggeration.) Another time, the dentist was running so behind schedule for her next client, that she rushed the shaping of 2 fillings that I had just had done. She dug into the filling much deeper than I felt appropriate, in an attempt to make sure my teeth wouldn't grind together. Now, I experience pain in that filling when I chew. Lastly, one of the fillings I got here fell out after 4 months. Overall, bad time.
