The staff was kind (receptionists Kenza and the other woman, the manager, and Dr Cohen's nurse). However, PLEASE NEVER DO AN ENDO TREATMENT FROM DR COHEN. I had two root canals with him (molars), and within couple weeks was in severe pain again. Turns out he had missed the MB2 canal in both of them. Had retreatment done in both of them and spent so much money again. Please get a referral for a specialist (endodontist) from the get-go instead of letting the general dentist do the complex root canal of a molar.

I thought I would share a quick summary of my experience with implant surgery at La clinique Ecodentaire by Dr Arav and his team. So far, I have undergone two surgeries: a) tooth extraction and bone grafting since I did not have sufficient bone in my lower jaw to support the implants and b) dental implant procedure, when metal, screwlike posts were placed in the bone to replace the teeth roots. It takes about 3 months for the bone to grow and heal after bone grafting and I was not an exception. It has been 4 weeks since the implants were placed and I have to wait another 6 weeks to fully recover after this surgery. Both surgeries were all done in the clinic they have all high-tech equipment starting from the orthodontic chair to the 3D scanner. The latter piece is amazing as it allows not only to diagnose problems with lots of precision such as bone deficiency like in my case, but also to help effectively plan complex surgeries such as correct placing of implants. The surgeries were done in an aseptic technique to minimize exposure of the jawbone to bacteria. All this coupled with the exceptional skills of Dr Arav and the surgical team made my experience smooth and almost stress-free. During surgeries, there was no pain since my mouth was numbed, although I got quite tired for having kept my mouth open for more than an hour. After the surgery, I felt some sore and discomfort for a few hours, but those disappeared after the pain killer kicked in. Next morning, I woke up with no pain and almost no swelling; its traces disappeared entirely in two days. Twenty four hours after the surgery, the dental nurse called and asked me whole list of follow up questions. Since the post-surgery period fell on the weekend, I was also given the teams phone number to contact in case of emergency. I never called this number though. This is all to say, that even though the implant surgeries might be rough, the team at La clinique Ecodentaire does their best to provide top quality care any patient would long for including pre-surgery counselling, high-precision surgery, minimal pain, and rapid recovery. For this, I thank them wholeheartedly.

This is probably the best dentist I have ever been to, and I'm so glad I found their office during my time at university. Dr. Cohen was super nice and friendly, and even remembered my major at my yearly followup appointment. The staff was just as friendly, and it was one of the rare places in Montreal that knew how to properly deal with payment for Indigenous patients who are status and covered under treaty. Even though I moved back home after school, I still tell my family and friends about this place
