AC Hotel by Marriott Montreal Downtown

Generally speaking I enjoy the AC brand. At this hotel I found the front desk staff to be efficient and cordial. This rating is due to the insane email reply I received from MAX after i provided feedback via ac Marriott survey regarding my stay. The issue was that there was NO Hot water on the morning of my check out. A simple apology would have sufficed. Instead MAX D writes Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding this issue. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We have verified our records and call logs from your recent stay and are perplexed, as we did not see any call placed about this from your recent stay. We have a maintenance team available for any repairs, and/or issues that may need resolving from 7am-11pm daily. If this were brought to us during the time of your stay it could have been resolved immediately. So Basically no apology and its my fault for not calling the maintenance team! Madness. This person Max, simply does not understand the art of hospitality or how to apologize. I opted to use my last remaining minutes to PACK and check out . I expect ac Marriott to all ways have hot water. Its your job to provide a hotel with hot water and brilliant customer service. And if you cant do that then simply apologize, but dont blame your Guest for not calling . Amateur hour with this GM.

The location is perfect, walking distance from via rail station, downtown attractions, and old montreal. The service is quick and good. Breakfast buffet is okay. Their croissants and coffee are tasty. Rooms without carpet and spacious. The pool is on the top floor with amazing views.

rude staff and subpar hotel: stay elsewhere Z Gold plated hotel! Nice on the outside, just ok on inside. Forget about a quiet nights sleep. The windows are crazy thin and you can hear absolutely everything outside. I would recommend staying anywhere else in Montreal. This is NOT a luxury hotel. Front desk didnt seem to care and told me the hotel is on a street what do I expect? Didnt even offer me earplugs. In addition the wifi didnt work during my stay. Room is clean & lobby is nice and modern which is why its getting 2 stars
