Unprofessional HR recruiter, Droven Talamor. I was interviewed by Droven Talamor for 30 minutes by phone. The last interview question was the famous question: "What is your desired salary". I have no issues disclosing my desired salary expectation since I want to be transparent with expectations and I don't want to waste anybody's time. I asked for 70K-95K. He then replied "You should go on Glassdoor and search for similar job positions and see the salary range. That'll give you a better idea for what to ask for". I hope you agree that this is a very condescending response. Every company has a budget allocated for a given position/role/title. Currently, I make 90K base salary for a similar position, so I asked for something reasonable according to my current salary range. Given similar work conditions, who wants to earn less than what they currently make? I've conducted over 150 interviews+ and I schedule some regularly to keep up and sharpen my interviewing and negotiation skills. I think it's good to keep and eye out on the market and see what's out there. If you befriend the HR recruiter, they'll also disclose their salary range for the position. It happens (yes). In my life, I've NEVER had a recruiter talking down to me, and I can't believe such HR recruiter exists. I'm appalled. At the end of the interview, Droven said he wanted to move on with the next step of the interview. He then sends me an invite by email titled "30 minute pre-screening interview" for a 1-1. This implies that he didn't take any notes during our current interview and wasted my time. By the way, he did mention during the phone call that he wasn't taking any notes and that it was informal, which I'm confused because all recruiters take basic notes to submit the candidate's profile to the hiring manager for review. I kindly declined the next interview and withdrew my candidacy. WOW, Canada Life, what a memorable experience! Numerous unanswered phone calls and emails. When they finally do get back to you its to late and with no information. They seem to sabotage claims into denial and make you jump through hoops for nothing as they just deny the claims in the end.

Just got my refund quickly using the app.. if you are good with using apps & have basic intelligence its convenient enough.. I dont know whats with the bad review & saltyness! My only thing would be if the account are setup with online approved cause i remember i had to login via pc and had to change some settings.. i had a dentist claim for which i didnt know how to put the code correctly at first time so I called customer care which was quick if u put your card details & had to redo it again & got the remaining amount the next day!
