Very good pizza and great waiter who was very friendly. The salads (we had the Greek and Cesar) were OK but I was very disturbed to see that the pizzaiolle made the salads without washing the lettuce which came from a closed bag of not pre-washed lettuce and he did the same with the cucumber for the Greek salad. He cut the cucumber out of the plastic wrapping without washing it. I'm hoping that the tomatoes were washed in the kitchen. In my opinion, this is a serious issue that needs to be dealt with quickly for public safety. E-coli in lettuce is a recurrent problem.

I would put more stars if I could, I was baffled, how come I never heard of this place? The pizzas were delicious, and you could see the staff preparing them. We took one XL for two and had to take a doggy bag, generous portion and impressive presentation. We could take an half and half with the XL, which was like getting 2 pizzas with more garnish and less crust! The staff was unbelievably friendly and nice. The decoration was so beautiful, with a lot of plants everywhere and street art and collages. We will definitely be back! We felt like we found a hidden treasure.

Comptoir 400 was amongst my favourite experiences in Montreal. We are experienced foodies so we delved straight into two XL Crispy thin crust pizzas. We watched them create these beautiful masterpieces by hand, with amazing combinations on the menu, as well as they were kind enough to let us add some extras. The pizzas were amazing, great crisp, and great option for 4+ people to share. We continued with various desserts: Tiramisu, Mochaccino (chocolate coffee drink), cannolis, crepes which were warm and heavenly, and it was not complete without the champagne! Excellent eating experience, staff was so friendly and down to earth, and the atmosphere was very artistic with various displays of contemporary art. Will definitely be returning to this Montreal gem which is Comptoir 400.
