I went to the SAQ in griffintown because is next to my workplace and they have the whisky I want for a gift in stock versus the store next to my house. I was welcomed by a new associate and she tried her best to serve me. I wanted a bottle in the high-end and did mention its for a gift. They have 16 in inventory and the new associate couldnt find the box for the one that was in the displayer. I politely told her that she could go ring out the peoples waiting in line and come back to me after to find the box. She came back after serving 5 customers at the register , the girl tried to ask the help of the person in charge (I assume the Manger on Duty at that time) she pointed it that it must be somewhere under the displayer. The girl looked and couldnt find it. I said why dont you just go ask your colleague in the back to just bring me a brand new one with the box already. She goes to see her and came back to tell me that they are only selling the one on the display and thats it. I have been in the field of retail and customers service for over 15 years . The way the MOD took care of this situation is really poor mannered. I told the new girl dont bother, I will go somewhere else as this is ridiculous and non-sense. I get the staffs are syndicated but thats not the proper way to serve a customer. I gave 2 stars because of the new girl tried her best to give the service.
