UPDATE: I contacted the resources they suggested in the comments and was ghosted. What Ubreakifix was in not what they are now. I went online to the get assistance from the guy store and they shipped my laptop to the South-shore office. Online states theyre shipping is 1-2 days but its actually closer to 2-3 weeks. I would not recommend this company unless you have time and money to spare. I was very disappointed with my service here. My computer was unable to turn on, and they said they would be able to recover my computer without loosing any of my data. Two months later they stated that I would receive my computer by "this" date, a week afterwards I called because I didn't not receive any information about where my computer was and the representative Vinh Nuguyen stated that they " had no idea where my computer is". They initially offered delivery but then later asked me to pick it up about an hour away from where I live. Three months later I finally got my computer back, I was able to turn it on but it as not in my preferred language, and none of my files were saved. I contacted my rep Vinh and they stated there would be a lengthy series of steps I would have to complete on my own in order to get my everything on my computer back. I thought it was unfair that they charged me $300 and there would still be a lot I needed to do in order to get everything from my previous computer back. The steps are very confusing to complete for a non tech person and there was little support to assist with the steps, and they did not retain ANY of previous my files. After completing the steps my files were not retrieved, I followed up for additional support and was ghosted. If I knew that this would be the case I would have not gone with UbreakIfix and just simply reset my computer at no cost and inconvenience.

I went to uBreakiFix twice, once to get my iPhone battery replaced, and once to get my phone unstuck from the reset screen, which required getting a new home button. On both ocassions, I had gone to the Apple store first, and was told that my phone couldn't be fixed for one reason or another. When I needed a new battery, I bought one off Amazon, and they fixed it here with no problem. It was a bit trickier when my phone was stuck on the reset page, but uBreakiFix did everything they could, and succeeded in the end. My only criticism is that they could have been a bit better about sending me emails to update me about the status of my repairs, but I lived nearby, so I could check in person. Overall, I was very impressed!

(Translated by Google) Very disappointed with my experience. I had dropped off my cell phone on February 10, then my laptop on the 21st of the same month. The sellers had indicated to me a repair in less than 10 days for both devices. I was able to see my phone again on March 6 and I just got my computer back on June 9. (By the way, I picked up both devices in person as soon as I was able to do so.) Both devices were in need of screen replacement. The devices were indeed repaired, and frankly, the delays wouldn't have bothered me if I knew what I was getting into. The reason for my low rating is actually customer service. So the clerks told me 10 days. The ten days are coming to an end and so I appeal to them to inform me of the situation. They then tell me that they will receive the necessary parts in the following week. The week goes by and they tell me the same story. Then, history repeats itself. Again. And even. I go to the store and they tell me the same stories. As far as my phone is concerned, I follow the seller's advice, who recommends that I call every two days to follow up on the situation. Always the same answer until I come across an employee named Mohamed. I explain the situation to him and he tells me that he will see what he can do. As a matter of fact, the next day, I receive an email stating that my device is ready to be picked up. Mohamed simply called another branch to see if they had the part in question. The branch had the part and simply delivered it to the Guy Concordia location.. It was so simple, and I wonder why the employees before him hadn't done the same.. Very disappointing to their part, but a huge thank you to Mohammed. Glad to have my phone back, not really needing my Laptop in my career and being tired of the constant calls I had to make to get my phone repaired, I decide to let things go a bit as a joke, a question of how far the company could stretch the sauce. Small license here, UbrekIFix notified its customers on March 19, 2020 that they were closing their operations for the time of the pandemic, and I don't hold it against them. May 14, 2020, surprise! I receive an email stating that the sale has been completed. I then hasten to call the branch, without success. Nobody's answering. Ah... So I call UbreakIFix customer service and the employee tells me that my computer has not actually been repaired, but moved from Guy Concordia to Laval. Without warning. Like that. So, I call the Laval branch explaining the whole situation and they tell me that all the managers are on the case. So I keep waiting until June 8, finally, when I get the call telling me that my computer screen has been fixed. To add up: 27 Days to repair a phone screen and 52 Days to repair a computer screen, not counting the days between the announcement of the closure and the receipt of the fake repair notification, and that, c is pushing. I believe that it is unacceptable for a company to push back deadlines in this way. Yes, the devices have been repaired, but as long as you wait a month and a half to have a computer repaired, I advise you to do business with a smaller local merchant. The delays will be the same if not less, the customer service will be better (Thanks anyway to Mohamed) and the repair, if you do your research well, will be of just as good quality. The lesson: at UbreakIfix, if you are told 10 days it will most likely be 25 if not more. Too bad, it was my first and last experience with this company. Encore.
