Kenwood Montreal Moving Company

Kenwood did the initial estimate. Then, the move got subcontracted to Meldrum Movers, a company I NEVER would have agreed to have move my belongings. Felt like I was lied to. Additionally, they overestimated my quote by 1,000 pounds. If you go with these guys, make sure they're actually doing your move and that it's not being done by another random company. A dissatisfying experience.

Everything seemed to be running smoothly with my move, until the movers arrived at destination and due to space restrictions had to switch to a smaller van. Kenwood made me pay for this on top of the bill I had already settled even though they had not so much as mentioned the size of the truck or the possibility of this happening AT ALL through months of communication. Absolutely irresponsible and disrespectful!!!!! They had the destination address all the while, and knew it was in the core of the city where parking is tight and rather than building that into the initial bill, the driver had to tell me the day of! He himself said that they had done this to his previous customer as well and that I should not pay a cent as I was not made aware at any point of the need to switch trucks. Of course there was nothing to be done but to pay, and the move was delayed by a day while the driver went to the local dispatcher, switched to a small van, and came back. What a headache! Shame on you for not informing your customers!!! On the other hand, I do want to say that our movers were absolutely fantastic people on both ends. It is the management that needs a lesson on morality! Please be sure you ask a million and one questions before settling with this company, and Kenwood, please inform your customers of such costs!!

I used this company recently as I had to move my everything I own to another house in Ontario. The quote was very reasonable, itfitmy budget so I chose their service. They did all the work from packingto unpacking. My main concern was the fact that I had so many fragile items to move, and I didn't want anything to break. Like true professionals, Kenwood handled everything with care. They managed it perfectly without causing any harm to my possessions. Will be using Kenwood for any future moves.
