Chelsea House is the perfect environment to move into if you are moving to Montreal from a different country. The residence enables one to easily make friends through organizing social events where one can meet other Chelsea House members, who range in both age and nationality. In my own time I have also made good use of the lounge, where you can play pool with your friends or indulge in a game of Jenga. The apartments themselves are very stylish with all the cooking equipment one requires - you really don't need to buy anything before or after you move in as what is provided by Chelsea House is more than sufficient. I have also been using the gym which has a suitable selection of free weights and a peloton bike/treadmill to help you stay fit. Overall, my first month at Chelsea House has really helped me settle into Montreal and would strongly recommend it to anyone who is beginning a new adventure abroad.

As a parent of a Chelsea house resident, I thought I would wait until after I visited the residence, as I had relied on the efforts of the management team to secure a spot before my student arrived. Through the process, OP's Mgr Stephanie, and Founder JP were professional, responsive, and knowledgeable about what was offered in detail.(which is pretty much everything a student will need to live comfortably). After speaking to them, Chelsea House seemed too good to be true. The perfect arrangement for a student that wants the university experience, yet more autonomy, the ability to cook in their unit, a secure building in a great location walkable to the Metro , to school, and many amenities. I still wondered if there was a catch, or something I didn't see. What I learned: You get everything you expect, and more You get quality living arrangement in a great location, in a secure building. It was better than my expectations in everyway. The building is 10 min from Concordia, 5 min to the Metro The building is secured with camera, key fob entry and entry by phone. It was bright, clean and well maintained. The students were watching the world cup in the party room having a grand ole time, but no noise was heard in the rest of the building. The Chelsea students regularly get together for outings and meet new friends. The Chelsea management took them all to a movie not so long ago, but I was most impressed with help and advice for exam writing, where to study, how to time manage during finals, help with finding medical resources and campus amenities. They have workshops and Newsletters to help your student make the most of their studies and of Montreal. Someone is putting a lot of effort to make this a community, not just a living arrangement. The apartment was well laid out, had a lovely big bathroom with a killer shower and another smaller bathroom. The WIFI was good, and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The furniture was new and clean, sized well for the rooms. (I have seen some arrangements that looked like it all came from a garage sale, but not here) The kitchen was well stocked and had everything to live comfortably. There is no catch, it is all just really well done. I think this is a concept for student living that should catch on, and be available in major cities. It was incredibly easy for my student to get settled and do well with studies because there was no worrying about the details. Chelsea House already had them figured out. Many thanks.
