In order to be an official CITY TOUR GUIDE, you need to have to go to a special program at ITHQ (institut de tourisme and hotelerie du Qubec). The problem is that the teachers there work for a large tour agency in Montral and you are expected to work for them at minimum wage. If you do not fit the profile you are ghosted.I have been persona non grata as I did not fit the mold... ________________________________________________ Updated March 24th 2023 (since you insist) The reality is that: Bruno L., the director of the course, was friendly but a really bad teacher. No pedagogy whatsoever. His presentations were very long with very little to say. A 10 page powerpoint presentation that could fit on half a page word document that would last 3 hours. The history class was a pure nightmare. The guy (and he was so bad, that I can't even remember his name) was sitting at his desk for 3 hours each time reading from his own notes from previous classes he did at UNI. Boring and tedious. There were a few good classes, like art in the city and local gography. But the rest was good only to light up my fireplace... I did the course because I had no other choice if I wanted to be a tour guide. I remember one group presentation the director of the program did, Guidatour was there, Ruby R., a girl that was presented to be a high flying tour guide representing APGT and M. Poir from VDM. VDM is a separate company but also design tours for Guidatour They were telling us how to look and dress accordingly, mostly like an air stewardess. During the course, 3 people quit, and since I very seldom see anyone from my cohort actually leading tours besides the teachers there. Good thing I started my own agency and now am one of the best rated tour guide agencies. Having to go through ITHQ was basically a nightmare, in my opinion.

(Translated by Google) A welcome, from the butler, who makes us feel that we will have an evening beyond our expectations. Everything is neat. The service is warm and professional. From the finesse of the sauces that accompany the starter and the main course, we remember a smile of contentment. We feel the desire to transmit to students a quality in the matter of restoration. And it is successful!
