Yoga has been life transforming for me. I have always been quite athletic, but I needed something to help calm my mind and spirit. The meditation at the end of the class can be quite soothing. In the new year I took a leap into this new practice and it has calmed my soul and given my body more flexibility and overall I feel healthier. The heated room really helps get your sweat on : )

I tried a free Yoga Flow class at 5 PM on Intl Day of Women's Rights. My three stars are for the fact that they offered free classes, for the very welcoming and helpful front desk staff, and for the large size of the hot room. Otherwise, as someone who has been practicing hot yoga at other studios in MTL for 10 years, I was really disappointed. Allowing such a huge number of people to sign up for a class when the rest of the studio cannot accommodate is a really bad way to facilitate a relaxed environment. The class itself was in no way a flow linking movement and breath, starting from a foundation and building up to a harder pose. We just dove right in and bounced back and forth between poses with no purpose, from standing to lying down to standing again and again. The instructor was also really intense in their tone, so it felt more like I was in a boot camp class. The cues for students were not helpful - we were just told to stretch and push and go beyond limits, instead of being offered guidance on how to build your way to advanced postures (e.g. in standing split, no guidance was given to the class to keep hips level, instead we were told to push push push). This isn't safe for your students, both new and experienced. Yoga isn't about going to and past your limit, it's about listening to your body and building the strength and flexibility over time. The instructor completely ignored the newbies beside me who were very visibly having a hard time - did not offer them any modifications. That would really bum me out if I were new to yoga, and would not make me want to go back. Happy to have tried Idolem, maybe other types of classes would be a better fit for me. This class (can't speak to the others) is ok for people looking for a fitness class that integrates some yoga, not a yoga class that advances fitness.

I love the classes that they offer and the teacher are great and the service is really great, but the establishment is made small, the women's changing room especially is extremely small when 98% of the clientele are.female. I just feel like there is lost space throughout the studio which could have been better used. As an example the front desk being a thin counter space (wooden) with drawers under or cupboards that they can put stuff. The area for chilling can be added to the women's changing room to add more lockers ( lockers are made small). The bathroom counter can be higher, and the width can be a bit more narrow. Also more light in the women's bathroom would be helpful..alsp the spotlights don't give a relaxing ambiance maybe puttting a lantern or something else for light. I do love the amount of plants around the window sill and within the studio
