We actually had to reduce our opening hours for the duration of the work since it greatly affects our traffic. Although access remains unchanged for people traveling on the highway, a large part of our local clientele must now make a detour of several kilometers. As a result, evening traffic dropped drastically after 6 p.m.
This sharp drop in traffic forces us to temporarily reduce our opening hours, as would any business that must manage responsibly in the face of such a situation.
We are not happy to have to reduce our hours temporarily, but we are experiencing the effects of the work for a period of twelve weeks, so you will understand that we had to make this decision.
There are notices on the doors (prominently) mentioning the reduced hours for the duration of the work. We made messages on different Facebook groups or pages in the region and we notified Google a few times; however for some reason the opening hours sheet keeps reverting to normal hours after a few days.
We are sorry and we understand your disappointment, but we had no other choice.
Following your comment, I will also indicate on the posters which are the closest Tim Hortons that are open until 9 p.m. in order to direct customers to an alternative.
Hoping that you will understand our position and that perhaps you will revise your 1 star rating for a situation that we are experiencing and which is beyond our control.
