My first experience with Taekwondo was at a school that opened up in the same building as my work place. I always dreamed of learning a martial art so I gave it a try. I loved the experience and got up to a green belt. Unfortunately, with some family complications I had to take time off and then Covid closed the school for 1 year. The school did not re-open. After moving 1 year ago to Saint Bruno, I looked for a Taekwondo school and found Lalonde Taekwondo. While different from my first experience, I can safely say Lalonde Taekwondo is excellent. The master and assistant masters are all great teachers, inviting, skilled, thoughtful and kind. All students are also easy going and helpful. I can't stress enough how beneficial practicing Taekwondo is to me. It helps me keep in shape both physically and mentally. You don't have to be an athlete to come. You come regardless of your fitness and you practice at your own pace. It won't take long before you feel better. Life is tough, we go through love, through loss, through events that bring us down. Practicing Taekwondo always picks me back up, makes me feel better in every possible way and helps me face life with happiness and strength. If you live in the Saint Bruno / Saint Basil area, I strongly recommend this school for yourself or your kids.
