L'auberge du Quai

AVOID AT ALL COST, Ile Dorleans has many other choices than L'auberge de Quai. Reserved 5 days before my stay. I live 3 hours away from ile Dorleans so I got there early and decided to bicycle around the island with my wife. I got a phone call 2 hours before my check in time and it was the owner telling me that he could no longer honour my reservation. I explained to him that I was all ready on the island and had travelled from Montreal. He told me he could find other accommodation's for 125$ CASH. My wife then spoke to him and she got him to admit that he had double booked the room. We were furious to say the least. It turned out for the best, we biked for about 40 KM and then decided to get a last minute room with Expedia in old Quebec, best decision ever. Beautiful room, great area and so much to do. My advice to anyone thinking about reserving at L'auberge de Quai, DONT !!!!!, you will regret it.

I've spent 4 days at l'Auberge du Quai, which was on renovation. The property outside obviously need painting refresh and parking design. It didn't bother me at all. The owner who received me, is really nice and, is really carefull about customer needs which is really great and what we don't find in big hotels. The inn has an amazing positionm directly on the beach, central in the village and 20 minutes away from Qubec City.
