I suppose the Christmas decorations in the lobby in May was a hint to the attention to detail. And dont let the Trip Advisor Travellers Choice posters fool you. They were dated 2017 and 2018 which might account for some of the more positive older reviews on this site. We experienced two rooms in the main hotel because the air conditioning was not working in the first. The staff was very quick to move us to another room. Both rooms were outdated but clean. And furniture in both rooms was drastically different. Again, this could account for varying reviews depending upon which room you got. The sagging mattresses and flat pillow however were way past their prime. I had a nasty fall on the steps leading from our balcony. The wooden steps were fairly rotten and the step height varied catching me off guard. Breakfast was included but we noted that yogurt was warm, and the bread was just in a bag for all guests to reach into. I cant say for sure obviously that this is where we picked up a stomach bug but less than a day later.. The best part about this hotel would be the friendly staff who tried their best to make our stay pleasant, and the location.
