I saw a kiosk for hema where blood donation takes places, i asked if i can donate, they told me that you can't without a "rendez-vous". So i scheduled an appointment (which was 10 days later). When i arrived to do the donation, i was also refused donation because they needed "proper identification" and my university ID wasn't enough even though they forgot to tell me that when i scheduled the appointment and a day early when they called to confirm the appointment. So they refused donation twice because of their bureaucracy. There won't be a third donation attempt, i am done.

The only problem I have with donating blood is that sometimes, not all but sometimes I have to deal with language barriers. But other than that I have never ever had a major issue that makes me regret my decision to donate. Next month will be 4 years Ive been donating blood. Every time I go I always learn something and the nurses are so gentle and caring and when I talk to them I feel like Im talking to a friend.
