They are now measuring your skill set with GED multiple choice questions, which is inaccurate in so many ways. I guess because people don't need to show any work. Especially with math. Well for one thing 1 In 4 questions that the test writer doesn't know will be guessed correctly. No, anyone who can kind of semi guess with a rough process of elimination, reversing the answer, or even make an estimate based on the "likelihood of an answer" means that its probably more than 1 in 4. This doesn't make sense though. Adult learning should be free with no pre entry requirement other than lower level course completion. I'm a little confused as to why there's an "entry test" Isn't the point of after education programs to teach adults who need it? Not to selectively choose students who appearance to already know the content so they have good pass rates in order to look like the school is teaching well? It should not be up to them so choose the GED program for 6 months to get your skill set up, and if you don't agree they send you away. I hope in the future they will fix this.

Ignite is the beginning of a change in your life as long as you work hard for it. After completing the program, I was able to get into the University of Regina, and now I am looking towards my master's degree. All your problems and previous mistakes will not despair, but you will acquire the tools you need to continue a better path. The program is very selective with specific requirements that you need to meet, so it is not only for people without high-school; there is more to it. Thank you, Ignite and investors for the opportunity, and I continue walking through the path that Carlo, Mona, Larry, Tim, Louise, and Kyle helped me to construct.

Ignite Learning is obviously only for people who are high school dropouts. I tried to go through them to get a GED because I never got my grade 12 and was two credits short of graduating. I also needed my license as I can't afford it on my own as I only make $900 a month and most of it goes towards bills. A license at a driving academy is $520 for 6 hours in car and in class. I wanted my GED so I could go to university and I was honest with them. I went through the orientation, testing, and interview and at the interview I told the older gentleman my plans and everything and he stated to take the departmental, making me believe I could do it through Ignite. I decided however to go with the GED because my high school marks were mostly 50's and 60's which wouldn't get me anywhere. Upon the first day, they made me fill out the form, I informed them about my disability and they took me out of class to say this program isn't for me because other people need it more than I do. Excuse me??? I am LOW INCOME and NEEDED my GED and License to which I was denied and upon learning the cost of a license, I broke down into tears. I can't pay that. Ignite was also supposed to give me 750$ per month for attending every day and I was excited to finally be able to afford better groceries, get out of credit card debt and pay off my cell phone bill but they ruined everything and kicked me out into the rain. They don't even deserve one star... Don't attend unless you're a person of color, a high school dropout in grade 9, and have no job because they will turn you away. Thanks for wasting my time and getting my hopes up... Chima recommended you to me and my mother but you turned me away. You've ruined everything simply because I want to be successful.
