My 80 year old blind great aunty used to hitchhike from Earl Grey into the city all the time and loved to stay here. We'd picked her up one day and brought her into town to drop her off. We offered to take her any where else but she was insistent on staying at the hotel. I was just thankful she was blond and couldn't see the folks smoking crack out of pop cans on the balcony lol For a hotel next to the inner city you might expect pretty crumby service but my aunt always demanded to stay there because she was blind and the owners were very helpful and considerate of her condition. She never ever had problems with any other guests and always felt safe and comfortable. The rates were reasonable for her limited income and as I stated earlier she wouldn't stay any where else. She never got bed bugs or had any problems. Despite everything the quality of the rooms and such I'd give it 3 stars. Which makes it better than the 2 stars I gave the bessborough in Saskatoon.
