Co-operatives First

I took the Co-Operatives First free online Co-op Professional course and learned many valuable skills about co-op governance, operations, and membership. This information will be invaluable to me as a new co-op director. My team also requested the Board Basics workshop with Kyle White and we were incredibly happy with the information and support we received to help us plan our co-op's first year of operations. Kyle's workshop was comprehensive and customized, and he answered all of our questions and provided helpful resources for us to use going forward!

The team of super connected co-op experts have helped our steering committee (now Eco Co-op Board of Directors) with community engagement, incorporation, businesses planning and everything in between. SES Solar Co-op was looking for assistance with legal and accounting questions and through discussions with several people Co-operatives First was recommended as a source for a solution. A summary of our needs was provided in a short visit with the staff and they said they would look into what could be done. A short while later I received a contact introduction to an experienced consultant. The fit seems to be ideal and we are on the way to resolving the issues that need to be addressed. Co-ops First has been helpful in providing assistance and we are very appreciative.

Co-operatives First is an incredible team of caring people who are passionate about seeing co-ops succeed. With Kyle's help, Neighbour Lab made it through the incorporation process feeling excited and supported the whole time (despite being all the way in Vancouver).
