Sewing by Kurdistan , Alterations and dressmaking

Maryam was super great to deal with. She is super friendly and made me feel comfortable in her space. She does beautiful work and in a timely manner. As a small person most things off the rack don't fit right. I will definitly be bring many more outfits for her to alter. 11/10 would recomend for any of your alteration needs.

She's really amazing. She's been sewing all two dresses for years. I'm so happy for her. In addition, she is very nice and very friendly. I highly recommend her!!!

I had a horrible experience with this seamstress. I was quoted two weeks initially and she ended up having my wedding dress for over two and a half months. I checked up on it two weeks in and she had me confused with a different customer so when I arrived she had someone elses dress out. She then apologized and said she had a mix up and my dress is not ready yet. I checked in a month later and she said shes having health issues and an upcoming procedure so we will need to start my dress after. I finally show up for my first fitting two and a half months later hoping she had success and instead she tells me my dress is too big (which shouldnt have been an issue considering it was 2 sizes too big which should give her material to work with). She tells me to sell my wedding dress because its impossible to fix. All very bizarre to hear when this lady has had my dress for this long and never mentioned prior that she was having issues, meanwhile I had hoped she was making progress this whole time. I ask her to please try any alterations possible as I was running out of time and desperate by this time. I later change my mind and hurry to grab my dress and take it elsewhere. When I pick up the dress we agree she wont charge me and she restored what she had attempted. She tried to hand my someone elses veil when Im leaving, I assure her I did not come with a veil its paired with another customers order. This lady could not keep things straight. I took my dress to another seamstress and her only complaint was the work Maryam had done, she wrecked the dress. Did not replace my buttons and stained my dress with her pink marker. The lady had to bleach my dress back to white. Maryam also cut my dress too short because she cut it when I was not there instead of cutting it with it on me at the time. The new lady had no issues with the size of my dress and was able to fix Maryams chaotic cuts. I ended up having to pay extra for the new alterations because this lady did so much damage!! Do not bring an intricate wedding dress to her, she is not skilled enough. Service: Bridal & bridesmaids
