Switched to here from RBC hoping for better service. It has been a steady decline of what was good service. The cherry on top was Renelle giving me false financial advise in regards to my credit history and deducting amounts from my gross income when I came to apply for a credit card. Scotia bank approved me for a 32k$ car loan when my credit was less than it was now (renelle wouldn't give me the number she just said low 600s) at 9% and conexus can't even give me a 19% credit card. Might be time to go see what Scotia has to offer.

Routinely questioned about identity when making small deposits into own account after providing government ID (kyc).

Don't have an account there but my emplotrt does. Wouldnt cash a chq written from their branch. Because they don't make phone calls to see that's it's not fraudulent. What a joke of a bank

Switched from CIBC around four years ago. I was tired of paying hundreds in fees every year. All the charges add up. No Fee account has saved me a lot of money and have been very happy with their service. Even had a car loan through them which was recently paid off and managing that loan when there is local people to contact instead of a call centre somewhere in Eastern Canada is a welcome benefit. Highly recommended, if not just for saving money on unnecessary fees.
