Makeup By April Dawn

Ok, Im going to start off by saying I am First Nations - I support local as much as I can, especially local aboriginal communities. EDIT**** She has 5 stars on google bc she cried on her fb live & asked everyone to report the negative reviews*** Ive been a fan of Aprils makeup skills since I was in highschool, so when I found out she was microblading brows - I was on the booking page in seconds! April Dawn did my eyebrows uneven, different shapes, different arch, etc. I understand eyebrows are sisters - not twins But mine arent even cousins I have had microblading done before (3yrs prior to April Dawn) so this was my 2nd time around. They started fading FAST, even with the correct healing techniques, no sun, sweat, makeup, chemicals, etc. & when I asked for an early touch up, she told me I had skin problems and blocked me from her page. *also, she only does 1 touch up, my previous brow artist did a touch up at 3,6 & 12 months. Which I mentioned to her when I asked for a touch up* Beware!! Do not waste your time or money Services: Permanent makeup, Brow shaping

I went to get combo brows done from this business. She told me that she "free-handed" drawing the outline of the brows on my face. I thought that was off and so odd because every single artist that I followed mapped the eyebrows out on the face, using rulers, and thread that marks easily to the skin. I never heard of anyone NOT using this method. I was so naive to let this business owner do my brows with something that's so permanent. She totally botched them. And for $500, that's a lot to pay for someone to be "eyeballing" and "free-hand" drawing something that is not going anywhere anytime soon. My "new" brows were so high above my eyes, and did not look symmetrical at all. One of the end tips of the brows were longer than the other side, and the thickness of inner corner of the brows were noticeably and considerably different than eachother. I was extremely disappointed with them. I went to a different artist and yes, she is an artist. She assessed my brows and agreed with me that i really had a botch job done. She correctly mapped out my eyebrows to frame my face properly and the top arches of my brows that april did, were way out of the mapping areas. She fixed my brows for me, thank goodness. I'm too embarrassed to even show pictures the work April did on me. BUT HERE ARE PICTURES AFTER I HAD THEM FIXED BY SOMEONE ELSE. I'm so thankful for her for saving them! The appointment was back on Sept 20th 2022, check your records. I hope you learn to grow from this.

April is Amazing !! I had my brows done yesterday and I am in love with them !! I was a bit nervous at the start of my appointment but April is so easy to talk too and knowledgeable that I was soon at ease. She far exceeded my expectations and I couldnt be happier with the result. April has also done my makeup for a special occasion and it was jaw dropping. I received so many compliments and felt like an absolute goddess !! Dont hesitate .. Book with her .. you wont regret it :) !!! Services: Special occasion makeup, Permanent makeup

Worked with April numerous times for photoshoots and events Ive attended. Always exceptional work and good communication. She is an outstanding professional. I look forward to working with her again in the future.
