Ishtar Restaurant

Fantastic Food in an absolutely beautiful establishment. The floors, the walls, the decor, simply stunning. The food was incredible. Falafel was top tier. The amazing gentleman who served our table was kind, friendly and checked in on us just the right amount. It was our first time there but won't be the last! The chai tea was hot and flavorful. The Pickled turnips were some of the best I've ever had. If you enjoy flavorful and authentic cuisine from this region, I'd highly recommend Ishtar!

Ordered this evening. The kid ordered Ishtar Quzi with potato and green pea curry. They received the navy bean stew instead. It was just ok. The lamb was a bit tough. I had the lahm bi-ajina. Their ground beef mixture was ok. A little bland. Saddest part was the mixture being smeared on a Dempsters white flour tortilla. Much like the movie of the 80's it was boring and I was happy when it was over.

Stopped in for a drink to check it out and it looks great! Attentive and friendly reception! Excellent service. Will be coming back to check out the menu:)
