Bishop Pocock School

THIS IS THE FIRST SCHOOL I WENT TO WHEN I CAME TO CANADA. I ONLY SPENT KINDERGARTEN THERE, BUT LEARNED HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH FAIRLY QUICKLY. I REMEMBER THOSE COLD WINTER MORNINGS WALKING TO SCHOOL.

I have to say after spending two amazing and incredible years here grade seven and eight, it was quite a ride but it was worth every second of it, every tear of joy, every pain, every tear, every heartbreak but it all led up to pure happiness. It was my second home. My Second family. I felt so at peace there, happy, safe, protected, wanted, loved and at home. I have met so many amazing people that changed my life for the better, people that took me in and became my friends not only friends but friends that became family. My Second family. People that will always hold a special place in my heart. Home. Created memories that I will never forget with people that made me smile and feel like I belong. And if I could relive two years of my life again I would choose my two years that I spent at this school in a heartbeat because I have to say those were two of the best years in my life. I can't say that it was always easy, it wasn't there were ups and downs, and sometimes the road got bumpy but we had teachers who believed in us and encouraged us and friends that were family and always held together as one. A family not related by blood but together as one in heart. If I had to choose one word to describe Bishop Pocock it would be home. My Second home. -AK
