Evrgreen Coffee & Food

I visited this cafe last summer and was pleasantly delighted by the food offerings it had. The coffee was okay, but the food was quite good! However, the customer service I experienced was absolutely atrocious. I was in the cafe to study, using the wifi. The issue occurred when their systems went down, rendering debit and credit payments unavailable. I was then rudely asked by the owner to turn my devices off to see if my devices were causing the issue on their network with the wifi (how and why I was singled out I had no idea). They were obviously in a panic which I understand - but after 30 minutes, I still wasnt communicated with to be back on the wifi. Eventually, the owner put up a sign that they were only taking cash payments. No word from anyone yet. Its genuinely no big deal if I wasnt able to use wifi, but the lack of communication and being singled out was crucial when others were on the wifi. While the cafe has potential, its clear some work still needs to be done.

When I entered this establishment I was met with friendly staff and a warm atmosphere, I was instantly drawn in by the allure of this homly caf. However, I had no idea the immeasurable pain that was to come from my visit to the Evergreen Caf. You see, this establishment does not carry plastic nor wooden stir sticks. Instead, they cater to the new liberal eco-focused pretentions which have led many businesses from their roots in the past years, providing dry pasta in lieu of standard stir sticks. Of course, with hundreds of these strands of pasta sitting in eye view, within my reach, within my grasp, for the entirety of my time in the Evergreen Caf, I had no choice but to eat them. And eat them I did, in such great quantities that even I, myself, was surprised. Unfortunately, my cousin with celiac disease also had many of the dried pasta stir sticks. Between the 57 stir sticks and the toast he accidentally had for breakfast, he had serious digestive problems resulting in the end of an otherwise nice trip. In the future I hope that the Evergreen Caf returns to wood or plastic stir sticks for the sake of their customers. Another gripe I had with the Caf were the paintings hung around. Yes, this establishment was decorated with many paintings of scenery, and, while that may sound pleasing, upon closer inspection, the paintings were more of a burden to the eyes than anything else. Many of the paintings were hung crookedly, so slanted that you could imagine the many mosquitoes skiing down the snowy whites of the canvas. In addition were the laughable prices, some paintings were listed for as high as three hundred and thirty five million Vietnamese Dong! Finally was the signature; the artist simply signed all the paintings as "LOVE." Wherefore am I, a humble patron of this caf, getting assaulted by fully capitalised text? Why did the artist feel the need to juxtapose the calm forested scenes with such abbrasive loudness in their signature? Quite ludicrous on all accounts. Other than these few issues the caf was quite nice, and their drink selection was quite extensive.
