I dealt with Kiera, I believe the owner at Fresh Hair in Waskesiu. I booked with Fresh Hair for my wedding in June 2020. Kiera charged me a deposit for my bridal party's hair, and then asked if she could do another bride on the same day. After we discussed it, I agreed that if she wasn't to rush our hair, it would be fine to book two weddings in one day. Now, since, the pandemic, the town hall in Waskesiu is not able to keep bookings. Being from out of province (BC) we are not even legally able to camp or stay in SK provincial parks this summer... and the town hall does not have summer availability until 2022. I explained this to Kiera, as other vendors offered us either a full refund, partial refund, or our deposit in the form of credit. Kiera wrote that if I'm not rebooking with her, she will not return the deposit for my full bridal party in anyway. I'm disappointed with this because now even if we do get married in Waskeisu, I don't feel comfortable booking with Fresh Hair -- nor do I recommend their customer service. I realize they are a small business but I expected some form of compromise with our deposit (either a partial refund or credit for hair service in the future) since we hadn't even had a trial with her.

This little salon nestled in the heart of Waskesiu has all to offer those needing beauty services. Staff is encredible with enthusiasm & talent. Highly recommend treating yourself to a service while you kick back on lake vibes!
