Terrible customer service. Wanted to cash a Scotia bank check and was told to go elsewhere even though all my statements come from this bank. My credit card number was stolen on the internet and $5000 transactions put on my account from Europe. The bank and credit card company never bothered to contact me but were quick to cancel my card and issue a new one when I got my monthly bill and informed them of the fraud. Had to fight to get costs reversed. Cancelled my Scotiabank credit card and wanted the account credit in cash. Was told to go elsewhere. I have left Scotiabank and suggest others do the same because their service is well below the customer service offered by other banks.

I have been dealing with Scotiabank for about 30 years now and the Rothesay location for about 2 years now. Although it's a smaller location than the other location I have dealt with in the past, they work efficiently and get you in and out quickly, staff are always pleasant and able to help me with all my needs.

Just wanna share my experience I have my account with this branch since almost 5 years now and i barely get time to go there since the banking advisor I was dealing they both gone now from this location now this location is very terrible for customer service specially the guy who is dealing in front counter I think his name is Kelly not 100% sure he is very rude and its not first time every Single time I went there he is dealing in the same way thats the reason I am doing this review this time not going to deal this guy anymore enough is enough soon going to close my account the way he is talking to me is disgusting may be he is same with everyone might be people dont have time to do the review guys if any of the senior management person seeing this review teach him about the customer service.
