Online order & pickup of equipment for my home gym from Fitness Experience in Nanaimo. Happy with the whole experience, no complaints from order to pickup to customer service. Only suggestion: Description/sizing/specs of products on website a little vague, helpful to see website enhancements in future.

We purchased a True M30 treadmill in March 2022. Within the first few times of the treadmill being used, a loud metal on metal noise was heard. Fitness Experience sent out their technicians five or six times, but each time they were unable to fix the issue. On the last service visit, almost a year after the initial install of the treadmill, they came to the conclusion that the treadmill frame itself was faulty. They offered to replace the treadmill with a new True M30 unit, but I did not feel comfortable getting another True unit. I opted to go with a Precor treadmill, but they said they didnt know how long it would take to get a new one in stock, so I was offered a floor model at a discount. When the replacement treadmill was delivered, there was missing hardware and some bolts that werent tightened. Obviously the treadmill wasnt inspected before delivery. A timeframe of about a year to get a treadmill fixed is completely unacceptable. Further adding to the frustration is the replacement treadmill being delivered with missing hardware pieces. The only thing that leads me to leaving one star versus zero stars, is that Shane from the service department was very patient in dealing with me. Its been over one year since the initial purchase, and the issue has not been satisfactorily resolved. PROS: friendly/knowledgeable sales people and delivery personnel. CONS: unreasonable time frame for warranty issues. A year to come to the conclusion that the treadmill frame is faulty is completely unacceptable. Then, to have a replacement treadmill delivered with missing hardware and bolts not tightened is even more frustrating. The reason I purchased the treadmill from a specialty store versus a big box store, is that I was hoping the level of service would be better from the specialty store. That was not the case. Definitely one of the most frustrating consumer experiences Ive had. At this point, I would not recommend Fitness Experience.
