Over the years, I noticed how difficult it seemed for people to admit any loss of hearing. Now a senior, I found myself wondering whether I was experiencing any changes. When my son informed me that Kristy, one of my former students, had established her practice in Winnipeg, I made an appointment to see her, not knowing what to expect. The day of the appointment, I was warmly greeted by Jean, the administrative assistant. Kristy clearly explained the many reasons for a decline in hearing and most importantly the role that hearing plays in our daily lives. I felt very comfortable during the test procedure, thanks to her calm demeanor. At this time, my hearing is still within a normal range with some changes. However, I will definitely be making an appointment with Kristy in a year by remaining proactive just as I do with my dentist, optician or family care provider. I would strongly recommend Kristy to anyone seeking a hearing test and consultation. She has taught me the importance of being proactive. Her knowledge, experience and sincere desire to improve a person's quality of life are reassuring. Thank you, Kristy. Larry Gagne After attending an online seminar from the U of Alberta on Hearing Loss and Aging, I decided to get my hearing tested. As Ear Architects were previously recommended to us and Kristy was known to my husband, we chose to go there. After going through the testing procedure, I learned that I do have hearing loss. Kristy recommended hearing aids. As instructed, I wore them everyday and got used to them in no time. The regular follow-ups with Kristy in the early weeks put me at ease and allowed me to get clarifications to all my questions. Kristy is approachable, knowledgeable, patient, and so willing to help every step of the way. I feel as though I am in the best of hands. I highly recommend Kristy and Ear Architects for their professional service and friendly, welcoming staff. Lee Hopper

Thank You, Kristy! I am so happy that I chose you to help me with my hearing loss, so I could engage in a comfortable daily living. I had moved to Kingston after retirement to spend time with my two sisters and their families, and having lost hearing as a result of 3.5 weeks of an extreme high frequency incident in my home, I purchased my first hearing aids. They were never quite right likely due to nerve damage. When I returned to live in Winnipeg, I had just had a recent fall resulting in concussion. I searched for hearing help and I am very happy that I found Ear Architects on Roblin Avenue. For over a year, you tried to adjust my aids. Sound was sufficient, but words were just mumbled sounds. I was withdrawing from conversation. TV was only a picture. Then came Covid-19 and my state of long-haul. But, you, Kristy, convinced me that if I tried new aids with the latest technology, I would most likely receive better communication, and return to enjoy daily living. Of course, there was the possibility that there was a more serious problem in the brain from the high-frequency experience and concussion that resulted from the two major falls when I fell and jack-knifed head-first into a door. I am happy with your up-to-date testing equipment and the dedicated attention that you had given me in attempting to adjust my original aids. However, since February 2021 when I decided to try new aids, I am now more involved in daily living again. There were problems getting them right, but we finally got it! Today, in my 90th year, I am back enjoying conversations and discussions. And on the computer, I am listening to videos and working on a booklet filled with my life stories for my family. When this is printed, it will be the 12th book that I have produced several were published. Dr. Agnes M. Glenn
