I booked this motel as my son is the goalie for the rifters , when going to the front to check in I'm told my name is not listed. I explained there has to be a mistake. I know I've booked it as the arena is right across from it. I told her that I know I have booked it as my son is the goalie for there hockey team, she then said oh your with hockey we cancelled all rooms because the ferry couldn't make it in. I then told her I'm not with any hockey team traveling on the ferry. And there was still hockey only one team couldn't make it. I'm still here and would like my room I wasn't notified about the cancellation. To that she replied my team should have told me. Um sorry what? There is still hockey and why would my team let me know anything about the reservation I made. Then she told me she didn't have any rooms for my family because they were given to the dart tournament that was happening. They did call the nearest inn to see if they had a space for my family so I guess that was nice. I don't recommend I was then told they do cancel on people if they feel they will make more money off others.
