Bonne Bay Inn

The location is perfect for visiting and hiking all that Gros Morne National park has to offer. The accomodation was extremely well appointed and clean. The food was amazing! It was professionally prepared and artistically presented. The beer and wine list was good and reasonably priced. Our host/owner, Darlene, was extremely friendly and helped us with great information and recommendations about local hikes and attractions. This roadside inn was possibly one of our most favourite places we stayed in during our two week trip to Newfoundland. So much thought and care were obviously taken when it was last renovated a few years ago, to make this a perfect place to rest and relax after a long drive or a day of exploring Gros Morne. The spacious lounge, bar, restaurant and cozy rooms were all impeccably clean and comfortable with many places to enjoy the view of Bonne Bay. Great hot and cold breakfast offerings. Free laundry available. Our room had a walk in shower, a Keurig coffeemaker, and fridge. Wifi worked well. It was a two minute drive to the Gros Morne Discovery Center, 10 minutes to the Table Lands Hike and 15 minutes to the Green Garden trailhead. What put Bonne Bay Inn over the top for us was our host Darlene (and her adorable dog, Bergie!) and the staff at the Inn. Darlene was the best host and one of the warmest, kindest people we met during our entire trip. So friendly, helpful and talkative without being intrusive, she really made our trip! We wished we had stayed more than one night at Bonne Bay Inn and will go out of our way to figure out how to stay there again when we revisit Newfoundland!
