I've lived here for four years. Old on site landlords left, they were amazing, they at least tried. The fire alarm has gone off at 2-6am every Sunday since they left. In the 4 years prior it happened once. Not sure why that changed but I hate living here. Cheap rent compared to the rest of Barrie is about it. Cracks on walls, leaks and water damage all the time. If you can afford something nicer go there. They have been trying to hike my rent, 2020 they wanted 5% increase (rent was frozen that year). 2021, they was 3% guideline was 1%-ish. 2022, they wanted 4.20% guideline is 1.2% so be mindful that this place will try and hike you over the Ontario guideline if they can.

Very nice and clean building. I have been looking at apartments all over Barrie and none of the others are quite like this one for the price point and the cleanliness and size.

The company that owns the property cares more about their increasing profit margins than the safety and wellbeing of the residents. There are major issues with the weather seal on one side of the building that the owners refuse to repair properly, so balcony doors leak and freeze shut. The parking lot is in atrocious condition and management refuses to repair it, authorizing only the cheapest patch work repairs. Snow removal is terrible if it happens at all, and Destaron says it's not their problem. It gets worse every year because the guy lives here and knows that the hundreds of complaints amount to nothing. Parking is $40/month. Laundry is expensive and has gone up three times in the 4 years I have been here. Rent is increased 1.8% yearly, except for the past 2 years where the company is trying to justify 3 and then 5 percent increases when the legal increase is 0. I suspect this has more to do with raising capital to build more units on this property than anything going back to the residents of this building.
