Lee Ann Brookes and Dave McMurray listed our house for us a couple of months ago. They were so helpful, friendly and professional that the whole process flowed smoothly and efficiently. Lee Anne was a pleasure to work with! My husband and I were introduced to her early on in our journey to buying a cottage. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer the many questions we had as we learned more about the different aspects of cottage ownership. We met Lee Anne at the start of our house hunting when she was the showing agent on a house we wanted to look at. In short order we were actively working together to find just the right fit for us. Lee Anne was awesome through the entire process. She knows the market, was very attentive to our wants & goals and the house we ended up buying was one that at first we weren't even interested in, but she put it on our showing list and we fell in love with it. Heres the thing about buying a home and Real estate agents - Often, when someone is purchasing a home there is most likely a change happening in their lifes - maybe the family is growing larger or smaller - maybe a couple is looking to start a new life in a different setting or, and I think in many cases, people are trying to find THEIR path in life. In my case I was leaving my currant life and partner to find what was right for me. This is where the real estate agent comes in, and this is my experience. From day one when I met Lee Anne, I was sad, lost and completely filled with anxiety. Finding out how to get out of bed in the morning and falling asleep at night were my biggest challenges let alone the task of finding a new home to begin MY life. A home was found and Lee Anne took me to see it. She understood my state and treated me with more softens than I have ever experienced. Lee Anne gave me the time I needed to take in the property, she never pushed me into thinking that there could be potential in something I wasnt ready to see. Instead, Lee Anne let me experience everything at the pace I needed, she let me ask the questions that I needed to ask, she let me be still when I didnt know what to do, or say, or think. Lee Anne never missed a call, it didnt matter how scrambled I was or how many times I asked the same thing over and over. Lee Anne would check in with me, to see how I was feeling, not to see if I was ready to make an offer or a Decision, Just to see if I was ok. When I did have a question however Lee Anne had all the honest answers I needed, plus beautiful advice that made me feel comfortable and safe. There were times were I didnt know how to ask the right questions and with my mortgage broker and Lee anne simply understand what I was trying to ask or achieve and would call the broker for me. The saying (never skips a beat) or (going above and Beyond) its true here! - If I needed something and asked Lee Anne, she had the answers for me immediately. I did not wait and worry - I did not fear that the answers I needed wouldn't be found - Lee Anne simply had them and delivered them with a smile so infectious that you cant help but smile back. This brings me to my new conclusion about real estate agents and this is where you need to read carefully - When buying a home, you need to understand your purchasing intentions clearly. Be honest with yourself and understand what is important to you over how much you can afford. But most importantly find an Agent that can be a vessel for YOU during your transition into your new life, because after all a new home will always provide you with the opportunity for a new begging. Find a agent like Lee Anne that can guide you the way you need to be guided. Real estate agents hold so much responsibility during our times of house hunting and I believe we will base our choices on not just the property, but the interaction we have with them. If you have a agent that takes the time to understand YOU as a person, they will in turn take all the time needed to make sure you make the right decision for your life.
