Hiring Sosna was the best decision I have made as a homeowner. We did a large renovation of all 3 floors. Removing supporting walls to create an open concept. They designed and created a beautiful kitchen, and installed hardwood floors. The quote was accurate, both for cost and amount of time needed to complete the project. There were major setbacks and obstacles that arose, (as always happens with big projects) but Sosna handled them quickly. There was constant communication throughout the process, to ensure I was informed and happy about the work being done. All the employees are friendly and approachable. They also keep the cleanest work site I have ever seen. It has been 2 years since they completed the reno, and I know I can still call them for help with anything. They are true professionals. 100% recommend and would use Sosna again. On time and on budget, professionalism, communication, quality and attention to detail. Sosa team work and project management was impressive. Project House renovation Sosna Team: Andrei Owner, Roman Project Manager, Olga Designer, Adam Site Supervisor, Dante Rebate Support - Was looking for a general contractor who would manage the entire project from start to finish - Looked around and found Sosna. Impressed by their testimonials and online reviews. An acquaintance who had worked with Sosna recommended Sosna without hesitation - Contacted Sosna and Andrei the owner promptly reached out and scheduled a time to discuss the work we wanted to complete on the house - No pressure or hard sell from Sosna. Very open and professional from the start. Sosna wanted to make sure it was a good fit and wanted a good understanding of the scope of work to be completed. - Invited us to the sales office at Improve Canada site in Vaughn and obtained a better sense of their work, how they managed projects and prior projects. Impressed with their relationship with clients and projects. Indicated their focus on project mgmt. and getting the work completed on time even during the pandemic - Met the team to get a sense of the team and was able to ask questions and back and forth to make sure was a good fit - Sosna provided a range of cost and asked if we wanted to proceed with the design phase which we did - Started working with Olga who helped us flush out the design and turning the pictures in our mind into floor plans - We enjoyed working with Olga. Olga would come up with drawings, take our comments into consideration and make revisions. We really valued Olgas honesty as Olga would provide her opinion and would let us know if she liked or did not like the design and would raise concerns about suggested layouts. - Olga worked with us to design the layout, and pick the fixtures, all of the details and although we could not decide at times, we were never rushed by Olga - Olga took us around to the various suppliers to pick the fixtures and we were impressed with the relationship she had with her suppliers. Really demonstrated how Sosna values its suppliers and has such a great relationship with suppliers who would also give their opinions freely. - Once the final design was completed with fixtures, we were provided with the final fixed price and proceeded to the next stage of the renovation of the house - Adam was our site supervisor and was at the house every day overseeing the work. Adam was always available to meet and talk with us and we never felt rushed - Adam and his attention to detail and quality and knowledge was impressive. - Attention to details examples o Some pot lights were installed in a room and the lights were off centre which Adam noted and then promptly removed and reinstalled the lights o Layout of the shower wall tiles and suggested what would like good and advantages o Placement of master bath floor tiles and how he made sure the tiles were aligned to the door so that the tile seams would not be in the path from the door o Little silicon pads placed throughout the house to protect walls from cabinet doors - Sosna and the team were very respectful of our neighbors and the noise. Never had any complaints or any concerns even when we asked our neighbors - Site was always cleaned up at end of day so it was safe for us to walk around - Had some issues with the City inspections / requirements however Roman the Project manager and Adam always had a solution and were hands on and went to city hall to get things resolved. Sosna and their experience across the GTA was evident in understanding how each city worked - After the work was completed, Dante and Adam were very helpful in supporting us in the filing of energy and HST rebates - Its been about 7 months since the completion of the renovation and any deficiencies (all minor) were quickly addressed without any hassle, pushback which was such a relief
