review date: august 15, 2022 customer service dates: may/june 2022 i was in the market for new orthotics, as i was unhappy with the service i was getting from a previous establishment. my benefits coverage was also coming up for the opportunity to get new orthotics. as i went to the market i needed to look no further than ambulatory footwear (AFW). AFW works in conjunction with the minerva pain clinic. (MPC) what i appreciated about both MPC and AFW is that they had a pedorthist, doctor and a clinic technician present all at the same time, for an assessment. i was upfront with AFW and MPC at the time of the assessment that i was not promising to buy orthotics with them. even still, all 3 persons were very professional, respectful, detail oriented and were pretty quick to find answers as to what my foot and ankle situation entailed. AFW provides service and expertise that you won't get at the modern-day footwear/orthotic stores. head pedorthist phil watson of AFW has been involved with the business of footwear and equipment since 1973, so there is definitely a lot of wisdom that has accumulated over the years. a shout-out to pedorthist jessica and head pedorthist phil for doing a great job with my orthotics. my arthritic knee and ankle pain have improved significantly with AFW inserts. positives of AFW: -paperwork was all set up by AFW and approved by my benefits provider, no hassles after backchecking with my benefits admin person. -hard working pedorthists that know what they are doing, and are sincerely interested in having a positive outcome for the customers. other places are more interested in producing revenue. AFW takes their time to explain information and make sure the product/service is done right. -very fair prices for products and services provided. -AFW stands by their service, i was able to contact them for follow-ups after the orthotic break-in period, plus if needed in the future. drawbacks of AFW: -limited retail hours, and closed on weekends. facility is open mon-fri 10am-5pm at the time of this review. -office staff may be a bit slow on responding to e-mails. in which case you may need to phone-in. other details: -parking is free around the street of the property. it can get congested so you may have to look around. be aware of street signs that indicate where and when to park for free. bottom line: AFW gets 5 stars overall. i would absolutely return back to AFW for orthotics-related needs. i would recommend AFW to others and see for yourself what old-world service and quality is about.

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable chiropodist. Competent staff. A pleasure to deal with. It's always a relief when a business or service excels and this place certainly does!
