I think they survive on naive Groupon customers. Location is somewhat remote and not so pleasant right beside the busy multi-lane Queensway. Inside is nice enough though (calm old-world ambience and real table cloths). The bruschetta was pitiful. Rest of the food was decent and I liked the smaller (but not too small) portions. Fairly certain we were served by one of the owners, (given it was a dead Tuesday night), who gave us rather odd service. The Groupon involved a set menu, but for some reason she wouldn't (or maybe she didn't understand our request as she had a thick accent?), bring us the wine and bruschetta until we made all of our choices. She offered me fresh pepper, but when my friend asked for some too, she was reluctant, remarking "but you don't have a cream sauce". She complimented me on my very ordinary boring glasses, but was otherwise straight-faced and wasn't particularly friendly (my friend thought she was trying to butter me up for tips) and then disappeared for over 20 minutes after we finished eating (we weren't in a rush for the bill, but when we decided we wanted to leave she wasn't around and we realized we hadn't seen her in a while). I also noticed big fire flares from the kitchen a few times. Lastly - don't know if this is a standard Groupon thing or not, but she charged us tax on the total, instead of just the wine even though I thought the Groupon that we'd already paid for was supposed to cover the cost. Even with their reasonable prices, I don't think I'd go back.

The 4 of us had dinner using a Groupon voucher I bought several months ago. Service was pretty good and timely. Portion sizes were small. Food arrived hot but the salad was not fresh as some pieces showed brownish ends at the cuts. The veal parmigiana was tender but a small thin piece of veal. The Tiramisu was very small, and not much bigger than 2 tablespoons in size. Maybe the portion size is different if your dining without a GroupOn voucher but that should not make a difference in portion size.
