[Snow Fighters] Snow & Ice Removal Property Maintenance

Blocked my number when trying to resolve what happened last season. I was understanding of his absence in February 2021 yet when it came to discussing reimbursement for the cost I needed to pay someone else to cover his snow removal duties, he was unresponsive. This has been a disappointing experience, especially since I wished the best for him and his business. I was hoping to continue using his services this season if we could come to a resolution. I didn't want to leave this review but feel I should help others avoid the stress and unreliability that comes alongside Gil.

I share other reviewers' experiences. Gil stopped showing up, and was unreliable. We had to scramble to find someone else, and never heard from Gil again about a refund.

We hired Gil Camara and his company in December 2020 and paid him for a full season to remove the snow on our property. There have been issues since we hired him and then at the beginning of January he stopped showing up. He has not responded to text messages and NEVER answers the phone. It appears that many of his customers have been ignored. It appears from his responses to some of the reviews that he is telling people that he is not operating due to COVID-19; however, snow removal companies are specifically permitted to operate during the provincial shutdown (snow clearing is one of the permitted services). I have been very patient hoping that Gil Camara would respond to messages, and resume his services, but its been now over a month and he has failed to do so! Unless I receive a refund in the next 72 hours, I intend to contact the Waterloo Regional Police, the Better Business Bureau, Canada Revenue Agency and commence a small claims court action, as this appears to be a fraudulent business. Do not hire this company!
