I am new to the area and decided to do one of my banking needs. The bank closes at 6pm, however the doors were closed before that, unsure how long before as I got there mins to 6pm and I was told I am not able to come in by a very arrogant and defensive young woman. I then told her to please consider as it is not 6pm as yet and my request would take no more than 5 mins. She repeatedly told me no, the bank is closed then turned around to gossip about the situation to a co-worker. I then asked her if I can please get the bank manager as I know this was unlike TD banks. I have been to other branches and had not seen doors closed prior to 6pm. This was such an embarrassing situation for me as people inside kept looking at me and one even had a smirk on his face. I have banked with TD for years and never have I experienced such poor service. If the bank closes at 6pm then close the doors then not before. It is just common courtesy! The manager did come and she let me in - thankful for the politeness. The staff needs to be trained on Customer service and problem solving. Please stop the gossiping as well, I felt so ashamed to witness such behavior directed to me. I will not be returning to this branch, I want to avoid such hostile behavior.

I've been with TD for decades and decided to book an appointment at this branch up to see if I could get a estimated mortgage quote. This would be my second mortgage with TD. I called in to ask to book an appointment and the receptionist suggested I don't even bother to see anyone in person, but rather have the financial advisor Paula Sun call me to save me the trip. I was fine with that. She calls me and says to write the details in an email and she will take it up with her team to see what quote they can provide for my particular financial situation with my wife. She specifically said it would take "a few business days". I spent an hour writing out my financial details as requested in a lengthy email as Paula asked and expected to hear back in a few days as I was keeping my real estate agent on standby. It has now been 3 weeks... I have left 3 voice messages and sent 3 follow up emails and they don't even have the courtesy to call or email back. I don't even care if it's a mortgage rejection. That's fine - just TELL me. It's so disrespectful to ask for me to spend time and also LOSE my housing opportunity due to how long I waited. This branch is an embarrassment and gives TD a bad name. I have accounts with 3 other banks and will look into pulling the funds and closing my personal chequeing account from TD so I don't have to deal with such poor service again. I feel very disrespected.
