Utterly horrific hair experience. I went in for a root touch-up. My hair was melted off from the bleach. Hair volume was thinned, and some pieces snapped off, as shown. I was told to gel the short bits down every day, but the amount of gel required to tame these pieces looks eye-catching and unnatural. Thankfully, I was not charged for this hair treatment. I received three hair products free of charge. The hairdresser personally compensated me for the previous root touch-up and the initial bleaching/toning treatment before that (my hair is naturally chocolate brown). Regardless of this compensation, however, I am left with thin, poorly toned, brittle hair that I am confident is beyond repair. I am anticipating wearing a wig to my upcoming graduation as with a combination of grown-out roots and broken hair; I don't know how I could style it to make it look acceptable. After a few months of waiting, I intend to cut it all off and start growing it again, which is a bold intention for someone who has had long, thick hair for a very long time and has become attached to it. The hairdresser assured me that she did not anticipate this. Though I am confident this was not her intention, it is still her responsibility as a hairdresser to ensure this does not happen. I advise looking for a different salon. I am beyond devastated. Service: Hairstyling
