Walmart Supercentre

Somehow this Walmart has hit the trifecta of horrible customer experience. If you try and call them at any point you are either left unanswered or worse put on hold for an ungodly amount of time, and when someone does talk to you the customer service representative doesnt actually know anything. Quite disappointed with this store, if I could give negative stars I would.

Very dreary Walmart since the pandemic hit with seemingly less employees to maintain the store. Anchoring the Square One on the south east corner, it has three entrances close to P8 on the north side, P1 parking near the City Centre Dr. & Kariya Gate on the south east corner, and the mall entrance itself. There are the usual store greeters stationed by the escalators, security to watch you come in and out, and the McDonalds/McCafe in this store (located on the second floor). Their produce is very extremely hit or miss, make sure to inspect carefully as there's lots of bumps and bruises on vegetables. The downstairs cashier near the mall entrance was closed (perhaps only open during peak time). Doesn't feel like the amount of customers decreased, but definitely less cashiers and longer waiting in line to cash out. Do note, they recently implemented self-serve checkouts on the second floor and new escalators. Note: Pick-up is located upstairs on the second floor near the left side of McDonald's.

Typical Walmart....very convenient and open on most holidays.

(May 20 2023) Dear Sq 1 Walmart managers, please hire new security officer. I came in and one casually watched me and my family from the moment we got upstairs. Once in the sports area, she approached us and asked us not to bounce the basketball (no issue) she continued to stare at us as we continued to shop. Once near the top area, we could see her yet again, but she kept her distance. We picked up toys and proceeded to eat at McDonald's. There was no sign stating we couldn't bring our items in. Within seconds of sitting said security officer shows up again questioning us about the items we brought in and placed on the table. My daughter cooperated and moved the items to the ledge of the entrance. I then proceeded to ask, why she insisted on following us around and then even after complying with her request stood over us as though she was babysitting up.I pointed out that we were not the only ones with items in the restaurant and ask if she was going to ask others if they too paid for their cart of item.she ignored the question and continued to keep repeating we couldn't have unpaid items. I kept telling her we understood but would she be doing the same to the other. Long story short she proceeded to tell me to shut up, (yes that then escalated the situation volume wise only) and she called for "back up" The second security officer was polite and apologetic on her behalf. At no point and time is it OK to target ppl and make them feel uncomfortable as well as tell a paying customer to shut up is unacceptable, especially when we weren't being rude. This type of behavior will cause you to lose customers and in turn money. I'm sorry if ur store is constantly dealing with theft, but to treat a family the way we were causing my child to say he's scared is NEVER ACCEPTABLE!!! Find and train better people
