For a long time I suffered from Adrenal Fatigue - the result of my body being in fight or flight mode for too long. The cause of which remains unknown to me to this day. Perhaps it was the late nights and high-stress of post-secondary or the cumulative effect of the rigours of life. Regardless, I was having trouble getting to sleep, staying asleep, and even when it seemed like I should have had a good sleep, I was waking up tired and without energy. Jen, my spouse, directed me to see a Naturopath that she had been seeing since a young age and so I reluctantly complied believing at the time that Naturopathy was frivolous witchcraft as I liked to call it. But it didnt take long to change my tone entirely on the subject when the supplements prescribed enabled me to get to sleep easily, stay asleep for the duration of the night, and wake up feeling refreshed and energized. The treatment was so effective that I felt no need to go back and see the Naturopath I was seeing at the time for a couple years and found myself suddenly found myself without a Naturopath after they took an early retirement after suffering a major health event. My wife eventually found a new Naturopath in town who she loves and I was still waiting for a need to arise before I went to see her new Naturopath. Enter BNI and Dr. Jessica. After a very enjoyable walking 121 with Dr. Jess, I decided that I wanted to see her partly because I liked her personality and partly because I wanted to support a fellow BNI member. At the intake appointment, Dr. Jess was extremely thorough in getting to know my health situation and was able to recommend some treatment options for things I was complaining about. After our second visit, I got to experience the magic of the acupuncture treatment she specializes in and have a treatment plan developed to address the sense of burnout I was living with after a very taxing month. I have been sticking to Dr. Jesss treatment plan now for about a month and I am starting to see the positive changes she described. Im excited to have her as a health partner knowing how knowledgeable and thorough she is not to mention that she is an absolute joy to be around. To those who have not seen a Naturopath, there are treatments and medicines that have been around and been effective far longer than any Western/modern options. These treatments are less invasive and more focused on solving the root cause of the issue rather than masking the symptoms. Traditional medicine is, in my opinion, the best way to address health concerns early and be that touchstone guide to a healthy lifestyle. I highly recommend Dr. Jess as your healthcare partner. Highly recommend, I went in to meet with John, and I really appreciate his input to help me prevent long-term injury. He took the time with me to figure out what challenges I have and provided me with solutions to fix it. I would highly recommend going to Symetrics for your physio needs.

Assembly line physiotherapy and substandard care. Saw the physiotherapist for a very short time and then was passed off to the assistant who is an unregulated health professional. No privacy in the curtain rooms. If your physiotherapy is paid for by the government, they treat you like theyre doing you a big favour. The only reason why they are still in business is because they are subsidized by the government.
