Dr yeung is a wonderful doctor. During my pregnancy when my ultrasound reports showed concerns, she made phone call to me immediately and arranged additional ultrasound to make sure baby was safe. At the end of pregnancy, my baby growth had problems and she arranged specialist for me to consult. Very professional and responsible. She always care about patient on each visit. She never rush me and willing to answer all my questions.

This was my experience speaking to the receptionist working for Dr Grace Yeung's office. I was referred to the gynaecologist from a doctor at a walk-in clinic. I received a phone call from the receptionist at Dr Grace Yeung office on Tuesday, November 29th at 11:24 am. I was at work and was unable to answer the phone. She left a voicemail message. I called her back and she answered the phone at 12:28 pm of the same day. She stated that the doctor will like me to do some tests/surgery/laser treatment... at the hospital. She spoke in a garbled voice so it was difficult to understand what she was saying. She was calling to book the appointment. I asked her if there is no consultation with the doctor first. I like to know what is going on and usually there is an assessment/consultation before doing any treatments. Why would I show up at the hospital and not know the reason I am there. What tests need to be done? Treatment for what if I never had a consultation with the doctor??? She then stated that she will speak to the doctor and call me back. Yesterday (Dec 6) I went to collect a report from the walk in clinic that referred me to Dr Grace Yeung and the receptionist at the walk in clinic told me that the Gynaecologist office stated they tried to contact me numerous times and were unable to contact me. So basically they lied, knowingly that they called me once (on November 29th) and left one voicemail message which I called and spoke to them 1 hour later and I have been waiting for their phone call to follow up on whether I would get a consultation appointment. I do not understand why a receptionist would be calling to tell me that I need to do tests and treatments at the hospital. without me having a consultation/assessment with the gynaecologist. Why would I go to the hospital and not know what tests I am going for and with no explanation of anything? No one to answer my questions or concerns. What is the point in a referral? I understand that Canadas healthcare system is currently strained and doctors are very busy and overwhelmed, but this is not acceptable. Do not accept a referral if you can not see or even speak to the patient.

My girlfriend was referred there by my family doctor. We had a first appointment which was a no show for Dr. Grace and things do happen. Then my girl friend finally saw the doctor. Now after that we had a follow up appointment and I told my girl friend to call and confirm morning of, and the woman confirmed I heard it with my own ears as it was on loud speaker. We show up to the appointment at the correct time and are met with a sorry the doctor has surgery today and she proceeds to tell us that my girlfriend misunderstood... there was no misunderstanding I just drove in Toronto traffic for 40min one way to be told sorry too bad. No apology, nothing just 3 very ignorant office people blaming us and saying that it was for tomorrow. I am not shocked we almost expected this after last time.We tried to prevent another wasted trip but it seems that there is a level of incompetence and lack of accountability. They want to charge if we miss the appointment. They should have to compensate us in the same manner. This wouldnt be so bad only my girl has something wrong and now we are going to have to get a new referral. Its my opinion that if this is how the office conducts themselves whats to be expected of your treatment Dr Grace is ultimately responsible and based on past complaints really doesnt care, like most medical professionals her time is more valuble than some peasants that showed up to her office, like the Seinfeld show says a "delicate genius" except this is not funny and we are in need of proper care Your office staff have no sense of decency, and by proxy neither do you.
