Had a significant drain backup and didn't know who to call. Throne plumbing was recommended and I'm so glad I called them. Timely response to my issue, the technician (Zac) was so professional and stopped at nothing to resolve the issue and to ensure I was completely satisfied. I was recommended Throne Plumbing from a friend of mine at work as I myself live in Durham Region. Over a year ago my mother's laundry room sink was blocked. It's an older bungalow in North York with a double concrete sink - and that's where her newer model washing machine drains into. I contacted Sewer Squad to help unclog the drain; we had used them once before to unclog a bathroom sink and found the price and work reasonable compared to another company we got a quote from. We were surprised about the "work" he recommended. He quoted us about $4600 to have the sink removed and pipes replaced. Told us we were "not up to code" with how the washer was draining into the sink. And recommended the sink be removed and pipes replaced. We always said we would get another quote but never got around to it. Of course the drain clogged again. So I contacted Throne and spoke with Sam. I sent him pictures of the sink and pipes with a copy of the quote from Sewer Squad. Sam was so professional over the phone and said he would send a guy over. Oliver came a few days later. He reviewed the sink and the pipes. He assessed that the clog was coming from the upstairs kitchen drain. He mentioned that although the laundry room sink is old, it did not necessarily mean that the sink needed being replaced. He cleared out the drain, all at the cost of less than 9% of what we were quoted from Sewer Squad. This even included the truck fee for coming out to North York - well worth it!
