Thank you Lada Matlak! I was house hunting in Ottawa from my home in Vancouver and needed a realtor. A family member connected me with Lada Matlak. Being in a rush to buy and working with a realtor youve never met, from a city on the other side of the country, is a high wire act that Lada made entirely possible. We worked exclusively by phone, email and texting. From our first conversation, I was impressed with Ladas integrity. Lada Matlak is a consummate professional, trustworthy, detail oriented, deeply ethical and a lovely human being with a warm sense of humour and an obvious commitment to the interests of the people he serves. I loved working with him and he made it easy for me. Lada returned my many calls and emails promptly, courteously, and followed up my multiple requests for visits to potential homes where he would do a walk through and take videos and photos for me so we could discuss the merits and limitations of each one. As a former contractor, Lada was also able and willing to comment on the workmanship of the places he visited on my behalf and offered honest feedback to my many questions. Lada became my eyes, ears and legs in Ottawa and never steered me wrong. At one point he suggested it would be best if I could fly to Ottawa, if only briefly, in the event we found a place that I might want to buy, and I agreed. But that never happened. The night I found the place that I bought, only two months ago, I called Lada and told him about it. It looked like the One. He agreed to see it the following morning and got back to me right away to say he liked it. I made an offer that day which was accepted, but it was a cliff-hanger as Id received word from my Vancouver realtor only half an hour earlier that the offer on my Vancouver home was final and firm. Lada very quickly pulled all the paper work together for the sale and the whole thing was wrapped up in no time. What an incredible day. I could never have done it without you Lada.
