Cheng Michael J Dr

My partner is currently in the process of seeing Dr. Cheng, however his initial interactions with his receptionist were very unprofessional and disrespectful. She made him feel guilty for accessing his nearest emergent healthcare system and deliberately pushed back his appointment date as a punishment for not answering her first phone call while he was at work. This is not the behaviour you should be expecting when dealing with our healthcare system. I am extremely disappointed and would highly suggest Dr. Cheng speaks with his team about basic courtesy.

I would encourage people to seek out a second opinion whenever they can, especially if you don't quite feel like the specialist is as thorough as you would expect them to be, which was our experience with this Doctor. He seemed to brush things off, he would tell us that it was nothing to worry about, but to let him know if things became worse. Symptoms that reoccur or have been ongoing for a few years, usually indicates that something is wrong - very wrong. But he would still say it was nothing to worry about, that he would get to the bottom of it. But he never did and I'm not sure if he ever intended to. Perhaps he was too busy with a high patient-load, that he didn't take time, or make time, to investigate further and follow up.. Get a second opinion if you can. A fresh set of eyes, a different perspective, someone who will take a deeper dive to find out whats going on, before it becomes a situation where there is a lot going on and you find yourself with Stage 4 cancer.

Although Dr Cheng is a good Dr. His secretary is far from that. She is disrespectful, uncaring, ignorant on the phone nd does not get back to patients with test results in a timely manner. If I was Dr Cheng, I wouldn't put up with an employee like that and I would fire her your rating may increase If she does not like her job, go work at WALMART

Never had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Chang, his office staff are enough to detour anyone away with their lack of accountability, ownership of responsibility and disrespectful approach to potential patients. Simple misunderstanding that could have been avoided had they returned my first voicemail, or perhaps just picked up the phone when I tried to call them back 5min after they had called.
