STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRANCH!!! Worst banking experience I've ever had!!! All I wanted was to set up a new account. I signed up online in January, had to visit this branch four times, two of these times I spoke directly to branch managers and while I was told that the account was set up and my debit card was on the way, I only received it early May. I also visited the Toronto DT branch and they had to send back to the Liberty branch. Once I got my card and tried to use it in the ATM machine, it turns out that the Liberty branch set it up to restrict ATM usage. My final and sixth visit was at the Toronto DT branch, where Jonah helped me out immediately and was awesome. This whole experience was waste of time, energy and unnecessary stress.

I waited to leave this review to give RBC a chance to resolve my issue, but each call or appointment leaves me more frustrated. There have been about 15 of those in 3 weeks because no one can give me the information I need to do a simple transaction. It doesn't matter if you go into the branch or call. No one knows how to do anything, departments don't communicate with each other, and I get different information from each person I speak with. A senior advisor at the branch even had the gall to lecture me about my finances after one of these bad experiences. I didn't ask for advice I just need a simple issue resolved, and no one knows how to do it without "looking it up in the system" or calling someone else. That said, I don't think it's the fault of anyone in particular. The structure of this organization is completely out of whack and basically designed to let down its customers. After more than 20 years of banking with RBC, I'll be looking into alternatives soon.
